The Northern Mystics netball coach TeAroha Keenan says there were mixed emotions for her side after they scored a nail-biting 61-60 extra time win over the Central Pulse in Wellington last night.
The Pulse led by 2 with less than 2 minutes to go in regulation time but the Mystics fought back with some valuable turnovers to force extra time and then seal the win.
Their second win of the season moves the Mystics away from the bottom of the table, while the Pulse remain winless 5 rounds into their second season... having now lost 4 matches in extra time.
Keenan says they'll take the win, but not the way they played.
The Pulse captain Cushla Lichtwark doubted that her team were let down by never having the experience of winning at this level, saying it was "just really hard" to win a game in this competition.
Meanwhile the New South Wales Swifts' title defence is in trouble. They were beaten 67-66 in extra time by the West Coast Fever in Perth.
It's the Swifts' third loss.
