The Hurricanes are relying on confidence to keep them on top of the Super 14 as they prepare to play the second-placed Chiefs in Hamilton on Saturday nignt.
It is a position new to all the squad with two wins in their last two matches assuring them of home-field advantage in the play-offs.
Coach Colin Cooper says they have momentum and a self belief that he's hoping will be just as important in training this week..
Cooper says it's up to the senior players to keep everyone grounded and believing they can improve again.
