There were Friday night wins in the National Basketball League for Nelson over Taranaki, Waikato over Hawkes Bay and the Christchurch Cougars over Auckland.
In the round nine action the Giants beat the Dynamos 91-64 in Nelson while both the Pistons and the Cougars won on the road.
Waikato triumphed 66-86 over the Hawks in Napier while in Auckland the visitors from Christchurch won 92-76.
