NZFC champions not short of coaching options

There's been no shortage of applicants for the vacant head coaching role at newly crowned NZFC and O-League football champions Auckland City, including a familiar face.

Caretaker boss Paul Posa led the side to this years title double, after Colin Tuaa quit mid-year, but isn't seeking the role full-time.

Club chairman Ivan Vuksich says they've already fielded a number of enquiries from coaches in New Zealand as well as Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Auckland have qualified for the World Club championship.

Among the applicants is the current Waitakere boss Chris Milicich, who it's believed has also reapplied for his current position, after the Waitakere board decided to advertise the position.

Vuksich says they'd like to have a new manager confirmed by the end of the month but they won't be rushing into any appointment.
