The Blues coach Pat Lam will start with a front row of All Blacks for the first time round three in rugby's Super 14 when his side plays the ACT Brumbies in Canberra on Saturday night.

But Tony Woodcock, captain Keven Mealamu and the returning tighthead prop John Afoa won't have the injured All Black locks Ali Williams and Anthony Boric behind them so Jay Williams and Kurtis Haiau are in the second row.

Other changes from the side which lost to the Hurricanes see Justin Collins back on the side of the scrum and Chris Smylie in at halfback for the injured Taniela Moa.

Centre Anthony Tuitavake's been bracketed with Jamie Helleur and right wing Rene Ranger with Paul Williams, but both are expected to be fit.
