Sheffield United have bagged a 1-1 draw at Preston North End in their English football Championship semi-final 1st leg play-off at Deepdale.
Brian Howard volleyed the equaliser 21 seconds into the second half after Sean St Ledger had fired home midway through the opening period to put the hosts in front.
Preston could have gone further ahead but Jon Parkin's header following a Ross Wallace corner came back off the post.
The winners of the return in Sheffield will meet Burnley or Reading in the play-off final, worth tens of millions to the ultimate winners, who will enter the Premiership along with automatically promoted sides Wolves and Birmingham.
