Mixed day for Coppins in Portugal

The New Zealand Motocross rider Josh Coppins has had a mixed day in the fifth round of the MX1 World Championship in Portugal.

The Yamaha rider qualified in second spot for the Portugese Grand Prix at Agueda but had to settle for

seventh and fourth placings, after being involved in a crash during the opening race.

Coppin's efforts move him up one spot to fifth in the World Championship standings, 18 points behind the leader.

Round six of the MX1 series is in Spain next weekend.
