Breakers await NBL decision

The future of the Breakers participation in this season's Australian national basketball decision is likely to be known today.

Financial problems have seen proposed teams from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane pull out of the planned revamped competition.

The Breakers have committed to the competition but whether there will enough other teams will not be known till today's 1pm deadline for entry passes.

Breakers boss Richard Clarke says he's 70 per cent certain the competition will go ahead and its fate may huinge on whether the Tigers team from Melbourne commits to play.

The Breakers have six players on contract including stars C J Bruton and Kirk Penney.
