National Rugby League referees boss Robert Finch says video referee Steve Clark was wrong to disallow a late Bulldogs try in last night's match against St George Illawarra.
Bulldogs centre Jamal Idris crossed with 33 seconds remaining in the match but Clark ruled Greg Eastwood had obstructed Dragons half Jamie Soward in the lead-up.
Bulldogs fans threw bottles onto the field in protest as the Dragons went on to win 20-18.
The incident overshadowed Bulldogs' winger Hazel El Masri's 300th appearance.
Finch says after completing an initial review of the decision, he believes the try should have been awarded.
