Fien told to look elsewhere by Warriors

The New Zealand test player Nathan Fien has been told by the Warriors to look for another National Rugby League club from next season.

Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah says Fien won't be offered a new contract when his current deal expires at the end of this year.

Scurrah says the 29 year old Fien isn't seen as part of the club's future and he's been dropped from the squad to play Canberra on Sunday.

Fien recently turned down the the chance to sign with Huddersfield in the English Super League so he could stay in the NRL.

Both St George Illawarra and Parramatta have shown interest in the 29-year-old utility, who is equally at home at halfback, five-eighth or hooker.

Joel Moon, who started the year at five-eighth before being moved into the centres, has replaced Fien at halfback for this weekend.

Coach Ivan Cleary says he's been concerned about the combination in the halves with the Warriors having won just one of the last seven games and changes needed to be made.
