The SANZAR rugby partners have unveiled a compromise plan for the Super 14 which will become a 15-team competition from 2011 involving three conferences.

The winners of each conference will qualify for the finals, along with the three next highest points-scoring teams.

The season will be expanded from 14 to 24 weeks, starting in late February, including a 3-week break in June for test matches.

The new format will have to be approved by SANZAR's broadcasting partners next month.

World swimming's ruling body FINA has rejected 10 swimsuits, including some of those made from polyurethane and recently used in setting new world records.

An injunction sought by Ferrari to prevent Formula One's governing body from introducing a budget cap next season will be decided tonight by a French court.
