Fien leaving Warriors

3:08 pm on 20 May 2009

The Warriors say they're not getting rid of utility Nathan Fien because they feel he's past his use by date.

Chief executive Wayne Scurrah has confirmed the 29 year old Fien won't be offered a new contract when his current deal expires at the end of this year.

Scurrah says they simply don't see Fien as part of the club's future, taking into account a variety of factors including the salary cap.
