The Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder says the way his players have pulled together after a tough start to the season has made him very proud.

The Crusaders are now in Johannesburg preparing for Sunday morning's Super 14 semi-final against top qualifiers in the Bulls in Pretoria.

Bolstered by the return of Colin Slade, Ben Franks and Brad Thorn, Blackadder says the Bulls are always tough to play there but they'll go into the game quietly confident.

Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder says he's surprised how fresh the side is after arriving in South Africa ahead of the semi final......
