Wyatt and Moon return to compete for NZ at world mountain running champs

The reigning mountain running world champion Jonathon Wyatt and former champion Melissa Moon will spearhead the New Zealand team to compete at this year's event in Italy, in September.

Wyatt is a six time world champ, having first won the event in 1998 while his last success was last year in Switzerland.

Moon a two time winner, in 2001 and 2003, last competed at the event in 2006 when she finished 14th.

She finished second at the recent national champs.

The pair are part of a 13 strong New Zealand team that will compete at the event.
