The world golf number two Phil Mickelson has suspended his playing schedule indefinitely to be with his wife Amy who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Mickelson was due to tee off in the opening round of the Byron Nelson Championship tomorrow in Texas and defend a title next week.
Amy Mickelson's treatment is expected to start with major surgery, possibly within the next fortnight.
