RPA can see more player movement in the future

The head of the New Zealand Professional Rugby Players Association, Rob Nicol, says he can see more foreign players getting involved in the new Super 15 including having New Zealanders remaining eligible for the All Blacks despite playing overseas.

There is already concern about how the 5th Australian team will be filled because of their lack of depth, opening up the possibility of a number of foreigners making up the shortfall.

At the moment, unless you have dispensation, to be eligible for the All Blacks you have to be playing in New Zealand.

The Highlanders have already suggested they'd like to import a couple of high-profile players and Rob Nicol says while he agrees with the current regulations, he can see more player movement in the future because it is the competition that will attract players.

Nicol says it could open up the way for more Pacific Islanders and perhaps Argentinians taking part.
