The Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder has been forced to bracket a couple of players in naming his side to take on the Bulls in their Super 14 semi-final in Pretoria on Sunday morning.
Lock Brad Thorn, who is still recovering from a hamstring strain is bracketed with Michael Patterson, while halfback Andy Ellis has injured his ribs again and has been bracketed with Kahn Fotuali'i.
Tyson Keats has flown to South Africa as cover.
In the only other changes Colin Slade and Ben Franks return to the bench.
