The Irish province Leinster won European rugby's Heineken Cup for the first time when they beat newly-crowned English Premiership champions Leicester 19-16 in an entertaining final at Murrayfield.
Leinster, appearing in the final for the first time, had the better of the opening half-hour to lead 9-3 with a drop goal by Brian O'Driscoll and another drop and penalty by Johnny Sexton.
After Leinster had prop Stan Wright sin-binned, however, Leicester hit back and a try by flanker Ben Woods helped them to a 13-9 half-time lead.
A Jamie Heaslip try for Leinster made it 16-16 with 30 minutes remaining and 23-year-old flyhalf Sexton settled it with a penalty 10 minutes from time to complete a great year for Ireland after their Six Nations grand slam.
