New Zealand's Indianapolis champion Scott Dixon says changes to his car meant he wasn't able to dominate qualifying the way he did last year so he's had to settle for the second row on the grid for Monday morning's big race.
Dixon says moving the rear exhausts has affected air flow across the rear wing, and the car's wheelbase is about 10 centimetres longer, changing weight distribution and suspension settings.
He says although that meant they were almost starting from scatch, the car was still consistent and nice to drive.
But he says they just didn't have the speed and with fewer test days it's hard to try something different.
However he says while that's unfortunate many people have won from much further back on the grid and they're still well placed.
