The New Zealand Kayak team has completed what High Performance Manager Wayne Maher has described as a very encouraging World Cup regatta in Poland.
The New Zealanders raced in 10 events and managed to make the A finals in five of them.
Olympian Erin Taylor finished fourth in the K1 1000 to go with her fourth place finish in the 500.
Steven Ferguson won the B final of the K1 1000, while the new men's K2 1000 crew of Troy Burbidge and Scott Bicknell were sixth in their A final.
Maher says in the first year of a new Olympic cycle, he's pleasantly suprised and happy with their results, in particular the two new K2 crews.
The team now heads to the Czech Republic to train for a week before the next World Cup regatta in Hungary in a fortnight.
