Lee well into six figures on PGA tour

Despite an expensive last hole at the Byron Nelson golf championship in Texas, the 18-year-old New Zealander Danny Lee is more than paying his way on the PGA tour.

Lee's tie for 13th has taken his earnings from only four starts as a professional to $250,000, which would place him 165th on the money list.

But he's not a member of the PGA tour. That requires him to finish the year in the top 125 on the money list, or earn his playing rights on the tour at the qualifying school.

Meanwhile Tim Wilkinson, who tied for 23rd, is back inside the top 125 money leaders at 119th.

Lee is playing again this week at the Colonial Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas.
