The former All Blacks prop Carl Hayman has been named as club captain for his English rugby club Newcastle Falcons for next season.
The 29-year-old says he is proud to have been handed the opportunity and has high hopes for next season's Premiership campaign.
Hayman, rated by many as the world's best tight-head, takes over from departed number eight Phil Dowson, who joined Northampton Saints at the end of the season.
Blues first five Jimmy Gopperth will join the club next season.
