The experienced Italy flanker Josh Sole will miss this month's rugby tour of Australia and New Zealand with a broken wrist.
Debutant Paul Derbyshire, who plays for Padua, has been called up as a replacement for the tests against Australia in Canberra and Melbourne on June 13th and 20th and against New Zealand in Christchurch on June 27th.
Coach Nick Mallett also had to draft three inexperienced players into the 30-man squad on Monday when Martin Castrogiovanni, Andrea Marcato and Simon Picone were ruled out.
