New Zealand Cricket has confirmed it is looking for a new sponsor for its domestic competitions after State said its relationship had reached the end of its "natural life-cycle".
The insurance company has sponsored the four day and one day national championships for 10 years and more recently the Twenty20 championship.
New Zealand Cricket's chief executive Justin Vaughan says every sponsorship arrangement has a limited life.
Vaughan says State's involvement has helped grow the game significantly so new sponsors next summer will receive even greater exposure.
He says the sponsorship programme is in very good health, thanks to long term relationships with likes of the National Bank and Canterbury of New Zealand.
And Vaughan says a major international sponsor, DEC, has also signed recently.
