The All Blacks centre Richard Kahui will miss the the international season to undergo surgery on an injured shoulder.
All Blacks Doctor Deb Robinson says Kahui had been carrying the injury for some time but had been able to play... however, the injury had been aggravated in the Super 14 final last weekend.
She says a scan yesterday confirmed a tear in his shoulder and he'll be out of rugby for up to six months.
A replacement player for the All Blacks will be named in due course.
