NRL could postpone matches because of swine flu

12:38 pm on 10 June 2009

The National Rugby League chief executive David Gallop is refusing to rule out the postponement of matches as the game's swine flu problem deepened with Wests Tigers captain Robbie Farah the latest player to be quarantined.

Farah, who played for New South Wales in last week's State of Origin clash, was quarantined as a precaution by the Tigers' doctor on Tuesday.

With Queensland prop Ben Hannant contracting the virus last week in Melbourne the entire Queensland state of origin squad, including the Warriors captain Steve Price, has been quarantined.
