Injuries concerns for NZ cricketers

There is a chance that the New Zealand cricketers will be without inform batsman Ross Taylor for a least the start of the Super 8 stage of the World Twenty20 tournament in England.

Taylor suffered a hamstring injury in the Black Caps 1-run loss to South Africa in their final pool match.... Jessie Ryder, Dan Vettori, James Franklin and Kyle Mills are all at various stages of recovery from injuries.

Standin captain Brendon McCullum says the last five days haven't been kind in terms of injuries but fingers crossed they'll all be back.

Ryder is in hospital for observation on an abdominal problem.

New Zealand play Ireland in their first Super 8 match on Friday morning.
