Bronco's go into quarantine

6:44 pm on 10 June 2009

The entire Brisbane Broncos rugby league squad and club staff have been placed into quarantine, awaiting test results to determine if full-back Karmichael Hunt has swine flu.

Queensland Health has told the club there is a strong possibility that Hunt has the virus as he has already tested positive for Influenza A.

If Hunt is confirmed to have contracted swine flu, the entire Broncos squad could be forced into a three-day quarantine.

That would mean Friday night's top-of-the-table clash against the Bulldogs at Lang Park would have to be rescheduled.

Bronco's CEO Bruno Cullen says they're just following health advice.

It is believed Hunt was exposed to the H1N1 virus whilst in Queensland Origin camp where Maroons prop Ben Hannant tested positive for swine flu.

There are currently more than 1,200 swine flu cases in Australia.
