Broncos not keen to play NRL match

11:34 am on 11 June 2009

The Brisbane Broncos will fight moves to force them to play Friday night's scheduled top of the table NRL match against the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Some 50 Broncos players and staff have been in quarantine since Tuesday and unable to train because of the swine flu, and they're still waiting for the results of a second round of tests on their fullback Karmichael Hunt.

If he has contracted swine flu, the Broncos would have to remain in quarantine until midnight.

The Warriors captain Steve Price, a teammate of Queenslander Ben Hannant, still the only confirmed swine flu victim, will turn out on Friday night against Newcastle in Auckland.
