Ryder injury still undecided

The picture hasn't really become any clearer on the injury situation of the New Zealand cricketer Jessie Ryder.

Ryder remains in hospital in England with an abdominal problem having missed their last match of the World Twenty20.

He has had a groin injury before and it has been suggested that it may be related to that, however a team spokesman says they're yet to find the exact problem.

Meanwhile Ross Taylor is also unlikely to be available for the Black Caps opening Super 8 match against Ireland because of a hamstring twinge he picked up playing South Africa.

The participation of captain Dan Vettori will be made just before play on Friday, while fellow bowler James Franklin is over his knee injury.
