IRB's appeal result against Horwill due soon

7:58 am on 2 July 2013

The Wallabies captain and coach James Horwill and Robbie Deans are due to front the media this morning in Sydney to reveal the outcome of the International Rugby Board's appeal against Horwill's exoneration from a stamping charge, relating to an incident in the first test against the British and Irish Lions in Brisbane.

Last night's hearing, involving a video link to a Canadian arbitrator, was adjourned after nearly three hours of evidence and legal argument.

The Australian Rugby Union, incensed by the IRB appeal, has fought for Horwill's availability with a crack legal team.
