Thomson happy to switch as more changes forced

There's likely to be more switching of positions in the All Black squad to face France in Saturday's opening Test in Dunedin, after Rudi Wulf picked up a shoulder injury at training on Thursday.

He's effectively ruled out now and Chiefs winger Lelia Masaga has been called in as cover.

So Hurricanes fullback Corey Jane's likely to come into the starting line-up with Masaga on the bench.

Another player with a different number than usual on his back is Adam Thomson.

The Highlanders flanker's filling in for the injured Richie McCaw but doesn't think switching from six to seven will mean a big adjustment.

Thompson says he's been playing as a fetcher at six anyway in the Super 14 so it shouldn't be too different.
