Defending National Basketball League champions the Waikato Pistons have grabbed the regular season honours and top seeding for the play-offs after an emphatic 108-70 victory over Auckland at Te Awamutu.
The win for the Pistons took their regular season record to 14 and 2 and they'll now watch with interest what plays out over the next seven days as they wait to see who will have
the unenviable task of travelling to Hamilton next Friday to take on the Pistons in the second sudden death semi final.
Four of the top six teams will take the court tonight as they build towards the play-offs..... Nelson play Harbour Heat, Hawke's Bay play Taranaki and Christchurch play Auckland.
