The leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed is officially an Australian citizen, meaning he is now eligible to play in the upcoming Ashes cricket series.
The 31-year-old played for Australia 'A' in their England tour, but under eligibility rules he had to receive full citizenship before he could be considered for Ashes selection.
