The New Zealand junior women's softball team has been beaten 7-0 inside five innings by the United States at their World Championships in Canada.
The defending champion Americans have yet to concede a run at the tournament and allowed the Junior White Sox only one hit during this game.
The result leaves the New Zealanders with a four and two record in their pool and probably needing a good result against host Canada to make the quarter-finals.
