Black Caps must beat Sri Lanka after hiding from Pakistan

The New Zealand cricketers must now beat Sri Lanka next week to have any chance of making the semi finals of the Twenty20 World Cup, after Pakistan beat the Black Caps by six wickets at the Twenty20 cricket World Cup at the Oval in London.

The Black Caps won the toss and chose to bat but were treated to a bowling showcase by Umar Gul, who took five wickets for six runs as New Zealand were bowled out for 99 in the 19th over.

Captain Dan Vettori played while batsman Ross Taylor's still out injured

Man of the match Gul became the first bowler to claim five wickets in a Twenty20 international with the feat.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand women's cricket team has beaten West Indies by 52 runs at Taunton.

Suzie Bates top scored with 60.
