Thomson out, Hore dodgy, two more called up

The All Blacks flanker Adam Thomson has a broken hand and will be out for six weeks.

Thomson suffered the injury in the 27-22 loss to France in Dunedin last night, while hooker Andrew Hore is touch and go with bruised ribs.

The pair join an already lengthy injury list, making the second Test against France next weekend an even trickier proposition.

Canterbury flanker George Whitelock and Waikato front rower Aled de Malmanche have been called in from the Junior All Blacks as cover.

Meanwhile the French will have their best players back, with the addition of members of the teams that met in their national final last weekend.

The All Blacks assistant coach Wayne Smith says they need to counter the ferocious French defence if they're to have any chance in Wellington.
