All Whites confident against Spain

The New Zealand men's football coach Ricki Herbert says their close loss to world champions Italy in a warmup match has certainly lifted confidence in the side ahead of their opening Confederations Cup match against Spain in South Africa tomorrow morning.

However Herbert says they are under no illusions of the task ahead against the number one ranked side in the world...

meanwhile Spain will be looking to extend their 32-match unbeaten run against New Zealand, who are ranked 82nd in the world.

The Spainish have taken a strong squad to the tournament including stars like Fernando Torres, David Villa, Xabi Alonso and Cesc Fabregas, who says having watch the All Whites lead 3 times against Italy last week, the New Zealanders have to be respected....
