Kiwis to meet Cook Islands in World Cup warmer

3:59 pm on 14 July 2013

New Zealand rugby league bosses have confirmed the Kiwis will play the Cook Islands in a warm-up game before the Rugby League World Cup in October in the UK.

The Kiwis' manager Tony Iro says they wanted a decent hit-out under English conditions before the World Cup especially given some of the players won't have played for six to seven weeks.

The match will be played in Doncaster before the sides first World Cup match against Samoa.
