The chief executive of Hockey New Zealand Hilary Poole is to switch codes, having been appointed the new CEO of Netball New Zealand.
Poole replaces Raelene Castle at Netball New Zealand, following Castle's recent appointment as head of National Rugby League club the Canterbury Bulldogs in Sydney.
Netball New Zealand acting chairman John Bongard says the high calibre of applicants made for a difficult decision but Poole's commercial background and sport governance experience meant she was the best candidate for the job.
Poole, who has been CEO of New Zealand Hockey since 2009, will take up her new role in October.
