The Saints have beaten Hawkes Bay 80-75 in their National Basketball League quarter-final in Wellington.
The Saints won the first quarter 18-16 and extended that to a six-point league by half-time but the Hawks came out in the third quarter, winning it 28-13 to lead 61-52.
Midway through the fourth quarter the Hawks were still ahead by eight until Leon Henry almost single handly changed the game.
Henry scored 11 points in the last four and a half minutes to push the Saints over the line.
The Wellingtonians now play the Giants in Nelson on Friday.
