ABs halfback says things aren't so bad

The All Blacks half back Jimmy Cowan says while they all have to take a step up in tomorrow night's second test against France in Wellington, he thinks the fans and the media have been a bit too critical of their first test loss at Carisbrook.

Cowan says a change of approach will be needed to counter France's rushing defence which snuffed out most of the All Black attacks in Dunedin, but he feels it's a team that's developing and he doesn't think they played that badly last weekend.

He says he's reasonably happy with his game in Dunedin and while the French suprised the All Blacks with their rush defence they've been working on ways to counter it and hopefully there'll be more movement in the backs.
