French backs to chance their arm in second test

8:48 am on 19 June 2009

France's backline coach Emile Ntamack wants his side to chance their arm with the ball in tomorrow night's second rugby test against the All Blacks in Wellington.

The French backs played well in the first test win in Dunedin, especially in defence, but Ntamack feels they kicked away too much ball, and he's encouraging them to be more creative tomorrow night as they were here in 1994 when they won both tests...

The French concede they probably beat an underprepared All Black side in the first test last week.

Meanwhile the All Blacks assistant coach Wayne Smith says confidence hasn't been an issue for them this week, but he says no-one should automatically expect an All Black victory tomorrow night.
