New Zealand's David Smail was tied for 14th after the completion of the rain disrupted first round of the US Golf Open in New York.
Smail fired an even par 70 top be six shots behind leader Mike Weir of Canada.
Former champion Michael Campbell shot a 77 while Douglas Batty had a 74.
Tiger Woods also shot a 74 after dropping four shots in the last four holes.
