The New South Wales and Cronulla five-eighth Trent Barrett has accepted a two-match ban for his Origin II high tackle which left the Queensland centre Greg Inglis with a fractured jaw.
Barrett decided against risking a three-match ban by fighting the charge at the NRL judiciary after he was slapped with a grade one reckless high tackle charge last night following Queensland's 24-14 series-clinching win in Sydney.
Inglis stayed off after the 22nd minute incident which left him concussed on top of the injury to his jaw.
Barrett's suspension comes at a bad time for the Sharks who had just started to turn their season around with wins in their last four matches.
