The Waikato Pistons have successfully defended their National Basketball League title with a sweep of the Nelson Giants in the finals.
Waikato scored a 94-84 victory in game 2 in Te Awamutu last night after leading through-out.
Justin Bailey lead all scorer's on the night with 32 and in doing so took away the Grand Final Series MVP trophy, which has been named after the late Waikato coach
