Fiji beat Samoa in pacific Nations Cup

Fiji have beaten Samoa 19-14 in their Pacific Nations Cup rugby match in Lautoka.

The Samoans controlled the match in the first half but could only manage 3 penalties to lead 9-3 at the break.

However it was Fiji that showed the extra determination in the second half, and while both sides scored a try, Seremaia Bai converted 5 of 6 attempts at goal to give the match to the homeside.

Samoa stay second In the standings having completed their 4 matches, while Fiji are third.

Earlier Japan scored their first win of the tournament beating Tonga 21-19.

The Junior All Blacks, who are unbeaten after 3 matches, play Tonga next Thursday.
