The Australian fast bowling great Jeff Thomson believes Australia will win the upcoming Ashes series against England by a single Test despite criticising the captaincy skills of Ricky Ponting.
Thomson, 100 of whose 200 Test wickets came against England, has never been a fan of Ponting as a captain saying he thought the Tasmanian was "crap when he was first captain in 2004 and nothing much has improved since."
Thomson believes England have the edge in the captaincy department under Andrew Strauss but Australia have a better line-up.
