The Australian rugby union has sacked the 67 test veteran winger Lote Tuqiri.
The ARU's given no reason but a terse statement says the sacking is effective immediately and there'll be no further comment in case of legal action .
Tuqiri's agent says he has engaged lawyers and will launch immediate action against the ARU.
Tuqiri was contracted until 2011 and was named in a 29-man squad in May but he was overlooked for the tests against the Barbarians, Italy and France last month.
He was warned two years ago and given a midnight curfew for the World Cup after going on an all-night drinking session with prop Matt Dunning.
Earlier this week the ARU said it was investigating possible player misconduct after disciplining James O'Connor, Quade Cooper and Josh Valentine, for a food-fight at a team hotel last month.
