Black Sticks women lose to Argentina

Argentina's beaten New Zealand 4-1 in the second women's hockey Test in Whangarei after leading 2-0 at half-time.

The world's second ranked side converted three of the seven corners awarded and dominated a spirited young Black Sticks.

The New Zealand strikers struggled to find the space they created in Friday night's 7 - 4 loss to the South Americans, who stepped up their defensive marking.

Argentina's only field goal was scored by the world's best player Luciana Aymar in the 47th minute after a signature weaving run.

The Black Sticks were rewarded for their hard work with 14 minutes to go, when Gemma Flynn tapped home a rebound from a direct penalty corner strike.
